Conventions used throughout most manuals:
- Analogies – "It is helpful to think..." is often used to make analogies of what may be more abstract concepts
- Emphasis – Bold and ALL CAPS fonts are used to emphasize key words or phrases from the rest of the sentence
- Examples – are used to further reinforce knowledge of what is read
- Regular Tips – ways to do concepts easier and faster.
- Memory Tips – are used also to help reinforce retention
- Animations – are used to convey concepts that are not easily understood by word or graphics
- Best Practices – "It is best practice" is used quite often to highlight industry standards
- Correct order – Concepts are explained in a logical order. For examples, it is best to learn how to style a list BEFORE learning how to style vertical, horizontal or an tabbed menu.
