Proper Colors
WHY? Correct color contrast makes a page easier to see and read.
For visually impaired users: For users that have low vision, color contrast can aid them in distinguishing the foreground text against a color background.
For sighted users: Like visual impaired users, color contrast can help users distinguish foreground text against a color background.
Mitigation Technique: Ensure correct color contrast
Use a color contrast tool to analyze text color against color background in the document. If you don’t have access to a color contract program, you cannot go wrong by using black text against a white background or vice versa or a very light color against a very dark color or vice versa.
Mitigation Technique: Ensure color is not associated with meaning
Also, ask yourself does the meaning derived from color alone (i.e., fill in the fields with a red asterisk.)? Are the color sufficient to distinguish between regions of a graph?
